Does God love me?
“I have loved you with an everlasting love.” — Jeremiah 31:3
Yes. God loves you. He loves you with a love that is greater than anything we could comprehend. He loves you with a divine love, which is so much greater than the greatest of human loves. He wants you to know Him. He wants to forgive you. He wants to have a relationship with you.
“God is love.” — 1 John 4:16
You can try to run from God. You can try to hide from God. He can try to deny God. He loves you. His eye is on you. He sees you. God loves you, and God has a plan for your life. He sent His Son, Jesus, from heaven to this earth for you. Jesus came to this earth to save you. He came to pay for all of our wrongdoings by dying on a cross.
“‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord. ‘Plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Plans to give you hope and a future.’” — Jeremiah 29:11
God created you in His image, and you are important to God.
“Indeed the very hairs of your head are numbered.” — Luke 12:7
God knows who you are. He knows your name and everything about you. He made you. He sees you. He cares for you.
Who is Jesus?
Many go through life unfulfilled, unfocused, searching—a blank canvas waiting for a picture of purpose to be painted on us. What does it all mean? And what does Jesus have to do with it?
Jesus gave up his life to save you. To forgive you for every wrong you have ever done. He died for you.
“Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.’” — John 14:6
Can God really change my life?
No matter who you are or how you’ve lived your life, God loves you and wants you to be a part of His family. He will change you and make you whole. Trust Him. Experience His love and mercy for yourself.
“I am the Lord, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?”
— Jeremiah 32:27
God is holy. He is powerful. He is perfect, and He loves you. He can change your life.
“Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in.” — Revelation 3:20
Do you hear God’s voice today?
“The Spirit of the Lord will come upon you in power, … and you will be changed into a different person.” — 1 Samuel 10:6
Your new life can start now.
What do I have to do to go to heaven?
God isn’t waiting to judge you. God isn’t waiting to punish you. He’s waiting to receive you and forgive you, with love and with open arms. Will you come to Him? Will you turn from your sin and live for Him? He can transform your life—and you can look forward to eternity with Him in heaven.
“If you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” — Romans 10:9
There is nothing you can do to earn God’s forgiveness; it is possible only by His grace when you have faith in Him. God is a loving God and wants to forgive you. He wants to welcome you into His family.
“To all who received Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God.” — John 1:12
You can be a child of God today.
“He asked, ‘What must I do to be saved?’ They replied, ‘Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved.’” — Acts 16:30, 31
Do you believe in what Jesus has done for you—dying on a cross to make a way for you to live?
God knows who you are, He loves you, and He wants you to know and love Him.
How do you do that?
You must first admit that, like everyone else, you are a sinner. Being a sinner means that you are imperfect and have done wrong; we fall short of God’s perfect standard. It also means we are separated from God and deserve His judgment and punishment.
But He loves us anyway! God sent His own Son, Jesus, to die for our sins. He died for your sins. He was punished so you don’t have to be. Not only that; death did not defeat Him. After three days, Jesus rose from the dead, alive again!
The only way to find forgiveness from God and to begin a relationship with Him is to trust in Jesus’ sacrifice for you and change your life - turning away from your sins. We urge you to do this today. To do that, simply talk to God—this is called praying—and tell Him you believe in His Son. You can pray something like this:
“Dear Lord Jesus,
I know I am a sinner, and I ask for your forgiveness. I believe you died for my sins and rose from the dead. I trust and follow you as my Lord and Savior. Guide my life and help me to do your will.
In your Son Jesus's name I pray, amen.”
